Story behind the treasure: An old tatty looking autograph book was passed onto me because I was creating a family tree. It belonged to my Great Aunt who lived in Wallasey but had worked in Lyons Coffee house London in 1911 with her sister contains Charlie Chaplin's autograph. It is no ordinary book though it is full of wonderful Poems, sketches & paintings done by my family & men in the forces c1912-18 To know that my Grandfather whom I never knew drew and painted on its pages gives me so much pleasure and a connection with the past
