Story behind the treasure: This pottery gin bottle belonged to my great, great grandmother and was given to me when I was about 17 years old. (I am now 87). My mother told me that she used to go along to her local inn to have it filled up with gin! This was her favourite 'tipple', but it was also used for medicinal purposes (unless that was an excuse!) I have always treasured it and I use it at Christmas to hold a spray of holly - I have even used it as a doorstop.
