Story behind the treasure: The elephantwith the eye was given to me as birthday present in the mid 1930s, the other to my younger sister in the late 1930s . One of the few treasures from my family home as my parents died in the blitz at Biggin Hill in 1940. I used my elephant until I was 21 when it was replaced by a pretty silver ring bought with a birthday guinea. My grandchildren have very much enjoyed the rings, not needed by my own children who both had silver baptism rings. What are the rings made of?
