Climbing stick for Mount Fujii

Story behind the treasure: This is the precious stick given to me to assist my climb of Mount Fujii accompanied by two of the sons of a family with whom I was staying in Japan. The stick had a handkerchief sized Japanese flag and tiny bell attached to the top and we each carried a light as we climbed higher. On each ledge where there was enough room a brazier had placed prepare hot drinks and a branding iron which we used to imprint the japanese symbols onto the stick. The climb is one of my most wonderful memories.
