Wedding trousseau

Story behind the treasure: This was my husband's granny's from her wedding in London in 1927. It consists of dress, veil, head-dress, stockings and bride & groom's handkerchiefs. Accompanying the trousseau are other treasures, including photographs of the wedding, an original invitation and the bill for the reception (£10 3/9 for 37 guests)! When granny's daughter (my mother-in-law) married in 1952, she wore the beautiful lace veil, and I also wore it on my wedding day in 1988, with granny (then aged 87) there to see it. Maybe my daughter will wear it one day.
