My teddy - Dumpy John

Story behind the treasure: Dumpy John - was given to me when a baby shortly after the second world war by my grandparents. My grandfather was employed by a London company, which warehoused salvaged goods and government surplus stock. Dumpy is made from the fur linings of airmen's jackets. I don't know if he is a 'one off' or has siblings somewhere around! I always loved his quirkiness his unmatching leather paws and boot button eyes. Also his head screws on and off! When I was about 11 I knitted him an outfit. He evokes such happy family memories.
